Since opening in 2012, our Early Years and Primary school provides young learners with a dynamic, multicultural and multilingual environment in which to play, grow, learn and develop in accordance with the European Curriculum. The Primary school has five language sections: English, Dutch, Spanish, French and German. Our SWALS pupils (Students Without A Language Section) are placed in the language section of one of the official vehicular languages: English, German, French, or in the language section of the host country (Dutch).
Pupils undertake the majority of their learning in their own language section. To encourage playing and learning together, and to facilitate multicultural and cross-cultural friendships, a number of lessons are organised in mixed language groups.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Cover Teacher for our Primary school. As a cover teacher, you will be a valuable support to our teaching team, ensuring that education continues smoothly when a teacher is (unexpectedly) absent.
Your responsibilities:
Covering for teachers during their absence (e.g., due to illness or leave)
Delivering lessons according to existing lesson plans and guidelines
Supporting students in various groups and classes
Contributing to a positive and productive classroom environment
Requirements
Fully qualified teacher status to teach in Primary Education, in the country the qualification is obtained
If you completed your studies in the UK/Ireland: you have been awarded QTS/SFR or equivalent and have successfully completed -or are exempt from- the statutory induction period
English, Dutch, German or combination of these languages is a pre
Recommendations
Experience working with EAL pupils
Experience in international or intercultural education
Living in the Netherlands with work permit

An appointment based on the Dutch teachers’ collective labour agreement (CAO PO) for primary education LB minimum €3463,- and maximum €5277,-. The specific step in the scale is depending on relevant background and experience.
