The International School Almere is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and committed professional to join our team as a qualified primary school teacher teaching Dutch as an additional language to our students ages 5-11 years old (PO-CAO). We have a great 5-day position starting January 2025 until the end of the school year with the possibility to stay on for the following school year.

You are:
• an innovative, creative and experienced primary school teacher who is passionate about learning;
• able to contribute to a close school community and work as part of a dynamic and hardworking team;
• flexible and open to new ideas;
• bilingual in Dutch and English (near-native level of English (C2));
• knowledgeable and experienced in working with students with varied cultural and language backgrounds and varied educational needs;
• have an interest and connection to the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme.
You have:
• a commitment to our school ethos;
• primary school teaching qualifications recognized by ‘Dienst Uitvoering Onderwijs (DUO)’' and a work permit recognized by the Dutch government (EU citizens exempt from working permit);
• excellent knowledge and experience of different teaching and educational methodologies;
• the ability and initiative in making changes to impact student learning;
• excellent communication skills and ability to function well within a team.
