As a Careers Guidance Counsellor, you will be responsible for setting up a whole school careers programme from S2 to S7, coordinating and delivering careers & universities guidance to our diverse student body. You will work collaboratively with a team of Careers Advisors and mentors from all 4 language sections, to provide guidance and support that address the unique needs of each student. About the Role
As a Careers Guidance Counsellor, you will:
· Coordinate the personalised careers guidance to students, helping them explore careers options, understand application processes, and make informed decisions.
· Coordinate and support the team of Careers Advisors for the 4 different language sections.
· Organise and facilitate careers & universities fairs, guest speaker events, and other career-related activities.
· Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of career guidance initiatives, making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
· Develop and maintain partnerships with universities, industries, and professional organisations to expand opportunities for students.
· Use careers guidance platforms like Unifrog to support student career planning and develop the programme.
· Collaborate with mentors, Team Leaders, teachers, parents, and external partners to ensure a well-rounded careers education program.
· Stay updated on international education trends and career opportunities to provide relevant advice.
· Assist students/parents with college admissions forms and securing financial aid or scholarships.
· Organise annual work experience placements with existing contacts, parents, and alumni.
· Maintain a database of alumni willing to support current students through mentoring and advice and track and maintain accurate records of university admissions decisions, awards, and statistics.
· Create and update a library of college-related publications, including catalogues, testing materials, and registration forms.
· Administer aptitude and achievement testing as required.

· Enjoy competitive benefits. We offer a salary aligned with the Dutch Collective Labour Agreement (CAO VO). The salary is a minimum of €3484 and a maximum of €6149 for a full-time contract on the OOP scale 11. The salary scale and the step offered will depend on your level of experience.

What We’re Looking For
· Experience in Careers Guidance counselling for students aged 11-18
· A relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
· Proficiency in English at a C1 level (CEFR). Knowledge of additional EU languages is an advantage.
· Familiarity with international or intercultural education.
· Experience with creating or managing an alumni programme would be an advantage.
Start Date
The appointed person will start on 1 August 2025
